Training Needs Analysis
Consider this common HR problem we are often asked to resolve.
A team of people are in the process of changing their role within the business. Their new role requires them to use Microsoft Office Excel 2007, but they have only used the 2003 edition. They need IT training to update their skills to the new version. However, what level of training do they need?
There are over 800 Microsoft online training courses and for some Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Office Excel 2007, there are many Microsoft training courses available to choose from. Selecting the correct level, such as beginner or intermediate, can be a difficult task.
We provide a Training Needs Analysis (TNA), a tool which gathers information on a particular employee, and highlights their requirements.
There are two stages:
- Pre-Assessment
The pre-assessment is a series of questions which discovers the IT skills that the employee is missing. The results also provide recommended Microsoft training
courses.
- Post-Assessment
The post-assessment is for use after the recommended Microsoft training course has been taken. The results will show whether the employee needs to continue their training or if they have successfully achieved outlined objectives.
